This is the diary of Taira Nobunori, Minister of War in the late Heian period. It can also be read as "Hyohanki" and is also called "Heishinki" or "Heihyobuki" after the author's name. The entries span the years from 1132 to 1171, and some handwritten copies have survived, but much is missing. Nobunori was the uncle of Taira no Kiyomori's wife Shitsu Tokiko, and the diary gives insight into the political situation at the end of the Heian period, including the Hogen Rebellion. It is also known for the large number of documents written on the reverse side of the paper used in "Hyohanki." → Taira Tokiko → Related item Hojosho Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
