Geinichiwan - Geinichiwan

A bay located on the coast (Sea of ​​Japan side) of North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea (Republic of Korea). The faulted coast makes it easy for ships to enter and leave. The Hyeongsan River flows into the bay, and the Pohang Plain spreads out at its mouth. The Hyeongsan River Rift Valley is formed from the main bay through Gyeongju to Ulsan Bay, and railroads and roads run along it. Pohang, within the bay, is South Korea's largest steel manufacturing area.

韓国（大韓民国）、慶尚北道(けいしょうほくどう／キョンサンプクド)の海岸沿い（日本海側）に位置する湾。断層海岸のため船舶の出入りに有利である。兄山江(けいざんこう)が注ぎ、その河口に浦項(ほこう／ポハン)平野が展開する。本湾から慶州(けいしゅう／キョンジュ)を経て蔚山(うるさん／ウルサン)湾に至る部分に兄山江地溝帯が形成され、これに沿って鉄道と道路が伸びる。湾内の浦項は韓国最大の製鉄工業地帯である。
