twill

Japanese: twill
twill

...Because it is not brushed or shrunk, the weave is clear, and it is rough to the touch and voluminous. The etymology of the word comes from the fact that the rough twill, originally woven in the Border region on the border between England and Scotland, was spelled tweel in Scottish in the mid-18th century, and a London merchant mistook it for tweed because it was woven in the Tweed River basin in this region. The most representative multi-colored scheme is called heather color, and is familiar as the color of natural plants and flowers in England, Scotland, and Ireland.
