Crepe de chine

Japanese: クレープデシン
Crepe de chine
A type of silk fabric. Also called dechin for short. It means Chinese crepe, but in Japan it was also called French crepe. It is usually woven using tightly twisted yarn for the weft, creating fine wrinkles. It is thin, light, and flexible, so it is used in plain or print dyed items for formal dresses, blouses, scarves, linings, etc. It can also be made from chemical and synthetic fibers.
