Clad plate - Clad plate

Japanese:
Clad plate - Clad plate
A plate material in which different metals are bonded over the entire surface. There are two-layer composite materials in which only one side is clad, and three-layer composite materials in which both sides are clad. Bimetal, which is made by layering two metal pieces with different thermal expansion coefficients, is also a type of clad plate. The basic manufacturing method is to layer the two metals and roll them, but an explosive bonding method has also been invented in which metals are collided at high speed to destroy the oxide layer on the surface and bond them.
