Two hundred kokushu were killed ."③ Another name for a kuni-mochi daimyo in the Edo period.④ A term used in Edo and other places to refer to local samurai. ※Sharakuhon Tatsumi no Sono (1770) "They appeared to be kokushu, wearing flower-coloured kosode with light yellow linings and yellowed underwear that had been washed and peeled off."⑤ People from the same hometown. Also a term used to refer to people from their hometown in a city. Country people.
