Argyria - Ginchinchakusho

...Discoloration caused by the deposition of foreign or self-produced substances in living tissues. Examples of discoloration caused by foreign substances include anthracosis (blackening of the lungs and lymph nodes), argyria (graying of the skin, mucous membranes, and internal organs due to the ingestion of silver nitrate), lead poisoning (lead sulfide deposition in the gums due to the use of cosmetics containing lead), and tattooing. Examples of self-produced substances include the black pigment melanin (freckles, moles, malignant melanoma), the brown pigment lipofuscin deposition (atrophic organs), hemoglobin (physiologically or after a large blood transfusion, hemoglobin breaks down and iron-containing pigments are deposited), and bile pigments (jaundice).
