...Along with this, a partial low-level jet stream appears at an altitude of about 3 km. Small-scale local fronts, called stationary fronts, belong to the category of stationary fronts. Many of these are just named fronts for convenience, such as the boundary between a stationary vortex or countercurrent that forms on the lee side of a mountain range and the air current that has gone around the edge of the mountain range (the Boso front), or the boundary between cold air that has cooled inland at night and the air current over the sea (the Hokuriku front), and cannot be treated the same as the large-scale fronts mentioned above.
