Vauxhall-Gardens (English spelling) VauxhallGardens

[Europe, America]
Its origins can be traced back to the pleasure gardens that spread across Europe, primarily in France in the 17th century. They were originally public parks, but private ones appeared in London, with the most famous being Vauxhall Gardens, which opened in 1661. Although it was an annex to an inn and tavern, it was popular for its vast grounds, well-arranged walkways lined with lush trees, a luxurious three-story stand for music performances, restaurants, indoor games and shows, and on busy days it could attract up to 10,000 visitors.
