[4] The name for the whole of China. It was divided into nine provinces during the reign of Xia Yu. According to the Book of Documents - Yu Gong, the Kyushu region consists of Ji , Yan , Qing, Xu, Yang, Jing, Yu, Liang, and Yong. Nine regions. Nine lands. Nine provinces. Nine countries. Nine fields. *Konpira Honpeiji (around 1220) Vol. 1: "He was to become the ruler of Kyushu , and was therefore confiscated from the Imperial gate three times."
