...The name "Saruguma" comes from the multiple horizontal lines drawn on the forehead, and although there are variations such as "Benkei Saruguma" where ink mustache is drawn under the nose and on the chin, this is the style used by Asahina in "Taimei". "Flame-shaped guma" is a type of suji-guma where the lines on the forehead are flame-shaped. An example of this is Tadanobu in the scene in front of the torii gate in "Yoshitsune Senbonzakura"....
