Born on March 3, 1882. He drew illustrations for various newspapers, then worked on signs and stage sets for theaters. Later, he devoted himself to writing about Edo-style subjects. He was known for his torture pictures and ghost pictures. He passed away on January 28, 1961. He was 78 years old. He was from Tokyo. His real name was Hajime.
