Market village - Ichibashiuraku

…A settlement formed on the basis of the existence of a market. Also called a market settlement. The formation and development of a market as a place for the exchange of goods is described in the separate entry on markets, but once the location of a market was determined and the facilities for holding it regularly were prepared, the place came to be called a market, marketplace, or market.
