…After graduating from the Munich Higher Educational School, he served as a conductor at opera houses throughout Germany, and in 1921 returned to Munich to study under H. Kaminski. In 1924, he collaborated with D. Günther to establish the Günther School for physical education, dance, and music, and thereafter devoted himself to music education. From 1950 to 1955, he was head professor at the Munich Higher Educational School, and in 1955 he was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Tübingen, and in 1972 from the University of Munich. …
