Japanese: 巣南[町] - すなみ

Mizuho is an old town in Motosu County, in the southwest of Gifu Prefecture, bordering Ogaki City. It is a rural area in the Nobi Plain on the left bank of the Ibi River, producing rice, fruits such as fuyu persimmons, and flowers. Its center is Mieji, a former post town on the Nakasendo road, and it is served by the Tarumi Railway, with many commuters to Ogaki City. In May 2003, it merged with Hozumi Town to form Mizuho City. ^{11.77 km2} . Population: 11,495 (2000).

岐阜県南西部，大垣市に接する本巣(もとす)郡の旧町。揖斐(いび)川左岸の濃尾平野にある農村地域で，米，富有柿を中心とした果樹，花卉(かき)を産する。中心は中山道の旧宿場町の美江寺(みえじ)で，樽見(たるみ)鉄道が通じ，大垣市への通勤者が多い。2003年５月，穂積町と合併して瑞穂市となる。11.77km²。１万1495人（2000）。
