Old middle class - Middle class

The new middle class is a social class that exists between the bourgeoisie and the proletariat. Specifically, it refers to self-employed farmers and fishermen who own traditional means of production, small business owners, small shopkeepers, artisans, etc. Since the 20th century, it has become unstable under monopoly capitalism and has been in a process of decline.
