Japanese: 沢渡[温泉] - さわたり

A hot spring in the western part of Nakanojo Town, Agatsuma County, northern Gunma Prefecture. Gypsum hydrogen sulfide spring, 56°C. This quiet hot spring is suitable for recreation, located on a plateau at an altitude of 700m along the Kamisawado River, and is located along the old Kusatsu Highway that runs from Kusatsu Hot Springs to Shima Hot Springs. It has long been known as the "finishing hot spring" that cures Kusatsu's dripping water. There is a hot spring therapy center that combines the efficacy of the hot spring with modern medicine, and it attracts many visitors for its therapeutic effects. 群馬県北部，吾妻（あがつま）郡中之条町の西部にある温泉。セッコウ硫化水素泉，56℃。上沢渡川沿いの標高700mの台地上にある閑静な保養向きの温泉で，草津温泉から四万（しま）温泉に至る旧草津街道に沿い，古くから草津の湯だれをなおす〈仕上げの湯〉と呼ばれた。温泉効能と近代医学を結びつけた温泉療養センターがあり，湯治客が多い。吾妻線中之条駅からバスの便がある。【有末武夫】
