Kanroji family

Japanese:
Kanroji family
The main line of the Kajiyuji family, Northern Branch of the Fujiwara clan. The family is a famous family. It began with Gon Chunagon Tamesuke, the son of Fujiwara no Yoshikado, posthumously awarded Grand Minister of State, and great-grandson of Takato, posthumously awarded Grand Minister of State. Tamesuke was the first to use the name Kanroji, but his descendants used the names Kanroji, Yoshida, or Bojo. However, when Fujinaga was appointed Gon Chunagon during the Nanboku-cho period, Yoshida Kunitoshi, who was also a member of the same family, was promoted from Councillor to Gon Chunagon, and since Fujinaga took the name Kanroji, this has been the family name for generations. Looking at the family lineage, Councillor Tamefusa of the late Heian period is famous for writing the Daiki (Tamefusa Kyoki), and his son Councillor Tametaka is famous for writing the Eishoki, but even in the Kamakura period, Tametaka's grandson Gon Dainagon Tsunefusa wrote the Kitsuki, and Tsunefusa's great-grandson Gon Dainagon Tsunenaga wrote the Kitsugi.
