Morichika Kitabatake

...It is located in Oishi, Ryozen-cho, Date-gun, Fukushima Prefecture. It enshrines Kitabatake Chikafusa, Akiie, Akinobu, and Morichika. During the Kenmu Restoration, Kitabatake Chikafusa was appointed as the governor of Mutsu together with his eldest son Akiie, and accompanied Prince Yoshiyoshi down to Ryozen, where he established his base and carried out his duties. However, due to the rebellion of Ashikaga Takauji, he headed west, and after Akiie was killed in battle, his second son Akinobu went down to Ryozen with his son Morichika to take charge of the strategy for Oshu and Uzen. In the early Meiji period, Nakagawa Setsudo, a Confucian scholar of the Yonezawa Domain who served as the Fukushima Prefecture official at the time, and others proposed the founding of this shrine. In 1879, they petitioned with local residents and received permission, and the following year, they built a shrine building at the current location, where a branch castle was said to have been located. It was completed in 1881, and in 1885, it was designated a special government-sponsored shrine. ...

…福島県伊達郡霊山町大字大石に鎮座。北畠親房，顕家，顕信，守親をまつる。建武中興にあたり，北畠親房は長男顕家とともに陸奥守に任ぜられて，義良親王を奉じて下向，霊山に本拠を構えてその任にあたったが，足利尊氏の叛で西上，顕家の戦死後次男顕信がその子守親とともに霊山に下り，奥羽経略にあたった。明治初年，当時福島県御用係をつとめた米沢藩儒中川雪堂らが，その神社創建を提唱，地元民とともに1879年請願し許可を得，翌年よりもと支城があったと伝承される現在地に社殿を造営，81年完成，85年別格官幣社に列せられた。…
