Sixth National Diet Congress - Rokuzenkyo

Japanese:
Sixth National Diet Congress - Rokuzenkyo
Abbreviation for the 6th National Conference of the Japanese Communist Party held in July 1955. It is considered a historic conference in which the Communist Party changed its previous ultra-left military adventurism and embarked on today's advanced country-style peaceful revolutionary line. The 1951 Platform was in fact a military revolutionary line, and the Molotov cocktail struggles from 1952 onwards were its implementation. At the 6th National Conference, a compromise was reached between the mainstream faction of Tokuda Kyuichi and Shida Shigeo, who promoted this line, and the international faction of Miyamoto Kenji, who was a critic of this line. Therefore, criticism of the line was still vague, but Shida was ousted immediately after the 6th National Conference and Miyamoto gained the upper hand, and at the 7th Party Congress in July of the following year, the 1951 Platform was abolished, Miyamoto was appointed Secretary General, and began to take steps towards promoting and establishing a new line.
