Lake Inohana
A tributary lake in the northwest of Lake Hamana in Shizuoka Prefecture, also known as Lake Osaki. It has an area of 5.5 km2 and a circumference of 12 km. It connects to Lake Hamana at Inohana Strait between the Osaki Peninsula and Mt. Honjo, and is at its deepest near the strait, with a depth of about 12 m. Alluvial plains have developed along the Uriyama River and Tsurihashi River, which flow in from the north shore, and the town of Mikkabi is located on these rivers. Inohana Lake Shrine, dedicated to Sarutahiko no Mikoto, is located on the rocks at the lake's mouth, and the Shinseto Bridge on Lakeside Way spans it.
