Chari-Nile (English spelling)

...an African language group found in a wide area from the middle Niger River to southern Sahara, and from Sudan to the White Nile in East Africa. It is divided into four subgroups: (1) Songhai, Songhai (Songhai), Djerma (Djama), and others of the middle Niger River basin; (2) Saharan (Saharan), Kanuri (Kanuri), Teda (Dazza), and others of the Sahara; (3) Maban (Maban), Maba ... The Shari-Nail group is the largest branch of this family and is further subdivided into (a) Eastern Sudanic, (b) Central Sudanic from Chad, Central Africa, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to western Sudan, (c) Kunama in Eritrea, and (d) Berta on the Sudan-Ethiopia border.

The Chari-Nile language family is a subdivision of the Nilo-Saharan language family. It is found in a wide area from the whole of Sudan to the upper reaches of the Nile River in Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania.
