Port of Kitakyushu

A port in Fukuoka Prefecture. Located at the northernmost tip of Kyushu, facing the Suo-Nada Sea to the east and the Kanmon Strait to the north. Established in April 1974. The port administrator is Kitakyushu City. International hub port (designated April 2011). The port area is 15,904 hectares. Container routes linking Korea, China, and other countries run through the port, and ferries linking the Kanto and Kinki regions also depart and arrive here. 福岡県にある港。九州の最北端に位置し、東は周防灘、北は関門海峡に面する。1974年4月設立。港湾管理者は、北九州市。国際拠点港湾（2011年4月指定）。港湾区域面積は、15,904ヘクタール。韓国・中国などと結ぶコンテナ航路が通じ、関東・近畿と結ぶフェリーも発着する。
