Yue Yi; Yüeh I

Japanese: 楽毅 - がくき（英語表記）Yue Yi; Yüeh I

A Chinese military commander active in the first half of the 3rd century BCE. He was a descendant of Le Yang, an early Wei military commander. He served King Zhao of Yan, and led an allied army to attack Qi, which had oppressed Yan for many years, winning a great victory. For this, he was given the title of Chang (Shandong Province) and given the title of Lord of Chang. He was suspected by the next King Hui, and fled to Zhao, where he took the title of Lord Wang, but the suspicion was soon cleared and he served both Zhao and Yan as a guest lord. His son Le Jian also served Yan and became Lord of Chang.

前3世紀前半に活躍した中国の武将。魏の初期の武将楽羊の子孫。燕の昭王に仕え，長年燕を圧迫していた斉を諸国同盟軍を率いて攻撃，大勝を博し，その功により昌 (山東省) に封じられ昌国君と号した。次の恵王に疑われ趙に逃れ望諸君と号したが，まもなく疑いが解け，趙，燕の客卿として両国に仕えた。子の楽間 (がっかん) も燕に仕え，昌国君となった。
