Japanese: 基礎ボルト - きそボルト（英語表記）foundation bolt

Also called foundation bolts or topography bolts. A type of bolt used to install machines and structures. The part without the male thread is embedded in the foundation beforehand, and this and a nut are used to tighten and secure the structure. The tip has a special shape such as an L-shape or J-shape to prevent the embedded part from slipping out of the foundation or coming loose when an external force is applied. It is made of general structural rolled steel. Anchor bolts can be considered to be roughly the same as foundation bolts.

土台ボルト，地形ボルトともいう。機械や構造物を据付けるときに用いるボルトの一種。あらかじめ，おねじの切っていない部分を土台に埋込んでおき，これとナットで構造物などを締めつけて固定する。外力が作用した場合，埋込まれた部分が土台から抜け出したり，ゆるまないようにするため先端はL字形やJ字形など特殊な形状をしている。材料には一般構造用圧延鋼材を用いる。なお，アンカーボルトはこの基礎ボルトとほぼ同じと考えてよい。
