Fire duration - Fire extinguisher time

The standard heating temperature curve (Figure 2) shows the average temperature rise in a fire room based on these calculations and experience.

The duration of a fire can be estimated by dividing the amount of combustible material in a room (fire load) by the amount of combustion determined by the size of the opening. Under general conditions, it is said to last 20 to 130 minutes for a fire load of 50 kg/m2 per floor area, and 35 to 200 minutes for a fire load of 100 kg/m2. It is sufficient if the materials can withstand the heat of the fire during this time and meet the conditions in the next section.
