Kiso Daikan

…A noble family that inherited the position of Kiso magistrate during the Edo period. Yamamura Michisuke (Takatoki), a senior vassal of Kiso Yoshimasa, the lord of Kiso at the end of the Middle Ages, was appointed as the Kiso magistrate by Tokugawa Ieyasu after winning his trust in him, right after the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600 (Keicho 5).
