Actress. Her real name was Eiko Torii. In 1918 (Taisho 7), she was the first Tokyo native to join the Takarazuka Shojo Revue, and in 1919 she played the lead role in "Kurama Tengu" as early as the following year, and continued to perform on stage until the year before her death. She excelled in Japanese dance, and was a personal admirer of Onoe Kikugoro VI. She performed "Kagamijishi" and "Funabenkei" to Western music without compromising on the style inherited from Onoe Kikugoro VI, and established the tradition of Japanese dance at Takarazuka. In 1948 (Showa 23), she became the first woman to become a director of the revue, and in 1976 she received the Order of the Precious Crown, Fourth Class.
