A great fire in Rakuchū (Kyoto city) in 1730. It started in the Muromachi Nishiiri area of Kamitachiuri and burned down the area around Nishijin, west of Muromachi-dori, east of Kitano Shrine, north of Ichijo-dori, and south of Rosanji-dori. 134 towns, 3,797 houses, 67 temples and shrines, etc. were burned down (Nishijin Tengu Bunki).
