Kikuchi Yari

...The blade is usually triangular with a ridge on one side, and can be either a regular triangle or a flat triangle. There are also diamond-shaped blades with ridges on both sides, and a type called the "Kikuchi yari" that is single-edged and has a long tang like handle. The blade without the ridge usually has a groove, and sometimes Sanskrit characters, sharp swords, the Kurikara dragon, or names of gods and Buddhas are carved on the ridge....
