Mayor of the Frankish Kingdom. Grandson of Pippin I. Initially Mayor of Austrasia, a division of the Frankish Kingdom. After Ebroin, Mayor of Neustria, was assassinated in 687, he became Mayor of the entire Frankish Kingdom. He was called Pippin the Middle. Charles Martel was his illegitimate son.
