His representative work, the long poem "Song of the Jiandao Partisans" (1932), is an epic poem inspired by the May 30th Jiandao Uprising in 1930, and realistically portrays the anti-Japanese armed struggle of the Korean people from the standpoint of proletarian internationalism. He was active in the Proletarian Writers League and other organizations, but died at the age of 26 from an illness he contracted while in prison. …
