A shogunate official. In 1603, he became the first magistrate of Nagasaki appointed by the Edo shogunate. He established the Tang Tsujiyaku (a system of administrative offices for foreign trade in China) and the Itowappu (a system of paper used for foreign trade). He also worked to restore the Buddhist temples in Nagasaki, including the founding of Shokakuji Temple. His name was Naritsugu.
