Indirect refutation

For example, in the previous example, if it is proven that A-san had a relationship with C-san in addition to B-san, and there is no blood type discrepancy between A-san and C-san, it becomes doubtful whether B-san is the child's father. In this way, the proof of other facts that are compatible with the premise facts shakes up the presumption of facts, which is called indirect refutation. In contrast, a legal presumption is when the law requires, for the public interest or the need for mitigation of proof, that the requirements of the law be recognized when the premise facts are proven.
