...A survey to determine the difference in elevation between two points (height ratio). In general, leveling is broadly divided into direct leveling and indirect leveling depending on the measurement principle. Leveling is conducted to determine the elevation of land on land, and is also conducted in conjunction with various civil engineering works such as tunnels, roads, and rivers.
