Japanese: 肝臓薬 - かんぞうやく

A general term for drugs used to treat liver dysfunction or fatty liver due to viral hepatitis, alcoholic hepatitis, drug-induced liver damage, etc. Major preparations available commercially in Japan include reduced glutathione preparations, tiopronin preparations, glycyrrhizin preparations, protoporphyrin preparations, pantothenic acid preparations, nucleic acid precursors, pagamic acid preparations, dimercaprol, and liver hydrolysate preparations.
