Usually, the subject matter is mathematical, the solution is mathematical, or the answer is mathematical, but there are many other types of mathematical puzzles, such as matchstick puzzles and maze puzzles. The characteristic of a mathematical puzzle is that anyone can easily tackle it without any prior knowledge, and it serves as a form of mental recreation that can easily be enjoyed while you are working on it. This is common to all puzzles, and can also be said for crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. Source: Heibonsha World Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition Information |
