Japanese: 感精伝説 - かんせいでんせつ
The legend of the spirit
This is a type of legend in which a woman becomes pregnant by touching a celestial body or other natural object, and is often passed down as a birth story of a dynasty's founder or a legendary hero. Around the world, it is mainly found in ancient civilizations and their spheres of influence. There are various events that trigger pregnancy, such as being exposed to sunlight, bathing in water, being blown by the wind, swallowing fruit or a fish, and some are characteristic of certain regions, such as the motif of swallowing a fish, which is common in areas from India to Europe.
