Haruki-so

Japanese:
Haruki-so
A manor established in Ikeda-go, Izumi-gun, Izumi Province (Wamyo-sho). Its relic location is now Haruki-cho, Izumi City, Osaka Prefecture, and is identified with the Matsuodani area. In 1164, Fujiwara Tadamichi's son Kujo Kanezane established a manor in Haruki-mura, Ikeda-go, to donate seasonal offerings to Kasuga Shrine (Kasuga Taisha) and Kofuku-ji Temple in Nara for the memorial service of his father. In 1198, Taira Munenobu, the governor of Izumi Province, imposed a tax on the manor when Emperor Gotoba visited Kumano, but the people did not comply, so the governor's deputy and others committed acts of violence, such as capturing the people of the manor (the people of the gods), wrapping them in straw mats, and burning the wise tree. There was an incident where the monks of Kofuku-ji Temple waved portable shrines and appealed to the Imperial Court and the Shogunate, demanding the exile of Munenobu and the imprisonment of the deputies. In 1250, the manor was handed over from Kujo Michiie to his son Ichijo Sanetsune, and thereafter the Ichijo family became the head family and the Kasugasha (later Kofuku-ji) became the vassal. During the Nanboku-cho period, the manor was sometimes given to Matsuo-ji Temple (present-day Izumi City), which had been a place of prayer and had received the support of the Southern Court. In the latter half of the 15th century, the main family's position was transferred to Shorin-in Temple of Kofuku-ji Temple, but after that, the land was often left untouched due to the invasion of the samurai, and since Izumi Shugo Hosokawa Motoari became the vassal of Hatakeyama Yoshinari, taxes have not been received.
