Kawasaki May Day Incident

...It was the first union affiliated with Profintern in Japan, and was under the leadership of the Japanese Communist Party. Zenkyo organized a "revolutionary opposition" within the legal unions, and exerted a certain influence on other unions through its organ newspaper, the Labor Newspaper, and other industry-specific organ newspapers, but it was unable to maintain a stable leadership due to the successive arrests, and it adopted a far-left policy, as shown by the Kawasaki Armed May Day Incident (also known as the Kawasaki May Day Incident) in 1930 and the adoption of a platform to overthrow the Emperor System in 1932, which often led to internal conflicts and chaos in the organization. In particular, the conflict with Zenkyo Reform Alliance (established in June 1930) led by Sato Shuichi, Kamiyama Shigeo and others could not be resolved domestically, and the organization was criticized by Profintern. ...
