Tubulodont - Tuberosities
A general term for mammals belonging to the order Tubulidentata. Primitive ungulates that feed primarily on ants and termites, named for their unusual teeth consisting of numerous hexagonal columns with a tube in the middle. Their front feet have four digits (missing the first one), while their hind feet have five digits. Their hind feet are semi-plantigrade with sturdy claws that are somewhere between claws and hooves. Their snout is long and tubular, with nostrils opening at the end of their disc-shaped snout. Their thick, sparsely haired body makes them look at first glance like a pig. They have a long, slender tongue and large ears.
