Optic vesicle - Gampou
〘Noun〙 The part of a vertebrate embryo that will later form the eye. It is a pouch-like structure formed when part of the forebrain protrudes to the left and right , with a thin base called the eye stalk . When the optic vesicle extends, the tip becomes concave and becomes the optic cup. ※Anatomy New Book (1774) 2 "The upper and lower optic vesicle ring muscles function to close the eye ."

〘名〙 脊椎動物の胚(はい)で、のちに眼を形成する部分。前脳の一部が左右に突出してできる袋状のもので、基部は細く、眼柄(がんへい)と呼ばれる。眼胞がのびると先端がくぼんで眼杯となる。※解体新書（1774）二「上下眼胞環筋者、使二目閉一」
