…A magazine published in Chinese by American missionary Young J. Allen (Chinese name Lin Lezhi) in the late Qing Dynasty in China. When it was first published in September 1868 (7th year of the Tongzhi era), it was a weekly magazine called The Church News, but after the 300th issue, it became a monthly magazine from September 1874 to 1883 and was published under the name The Chinese Globe Magazine.
