Carrot peel - Karohi

…It is found from southern Hokkaido to the Ryukyu Islands. In herbal medicine, the root is called Tenka or Karokon, the seeds are called Karo kernel, and the fruit skin is called Karopi. The root contains a large amount of starch as well as steroids and saponins, and is used in combination with other herbal medicines to reduce fever in respiratory diseases, relieve throat swelling, dry mouth, and expectorate, as well as to promote milk production.
