…After Kiyoyasu was killed in the Moriyama Kuzure incident, he was banished from Okazaki Castle by his relative, Matsudaira Nobutada, but was restored in 1837 with the support of Imagawa Yoshimoto. In 1841, he married Odai (Denzuin), the daughter of Mizuno Tadamasa, lord of Kariya Castle, and Ieyasu was born the following year, but he divorced Odai in 1844. He suffered from Oda Nobuhide's advance into Mikawa and the defection of his family and retainers, and became a subordinate general of the Imagawa clan. …
