Royal Tomb of King Gongmin (English: Kong‐min‐wang‐nūng)

Japanese: 恭愍王陵 - きょうびんおうりょう（英語表記）Kong‐min‐wang‐nūng

A representative mausoleum of the Goryeo royal family in Kaesong City, Kaesong District, Democratic People's Republic of Korea. It was surveyed in 1916. It faces south and is located on the hillside extending south from Bongmyeongsan Mountain. The hills jut out on both sides of the tomb, giving it the appearance of being surrounded by small hills on three sides. King Gongmin's main tomb is lined up with the secluded tomb, built by King Gongmin for his deceased queen at the end of the Goryeo period (late 14th century), about 65 cm away to the west. The interior of the tomb is thought to be a cave-in type stone chamber. The tombs of the king and queen are in the same burial grounds and are arranged in three rectangular tiers, with notable exterior decoration.

朝鮮民主主義人民共和国開城地区開城市にある高麗王室の代表的な陵墓。1916年に調査された。鳳鳴山より南に延びる丘陵の中腹にあって南面する。丘陵が陵の左右に突出するので，3方が小丘陵に包まれたような景観を示す。恭愍王の正陵と，約65cm離れて西側に，高麗末期(14世紀後半)に恭愍王が亡妃のために造営した玄陵が並ぶ。陵の内部は横穴式石室と思われる。王，王妃の陵は同じ墓域にあって，長方形の3段につくるが，外部装飾が顕著である。
