Cargo plane - Kamotsuki

An aircraft dedicated to transporting cargo. Both military and civilian use have developed significantly since World War II. Initially, only high speed was its defining feature, but in recent years, with the introduction of jumbo freighters, it has become possible to transport large cargo, and it has become as economical and has a transport capacity that is comparable to ground-based cargo transport. 貨物輸送専用の航空機。軍用、民間とも第二次世界大戦後に著しく発展した。当初は高速度だけが特長であったが、最近ではジャンボ貨物機の登場で大型の貨物も輸送でき、地上の貨物輸送機関に勝るとも劣らぬ輸送力と経済性を備えるようになった。貨物機には旅客機の改装型、貨物専用機、旅客・貨物転換型または混載型などがあり、用途や市況に応じて使い分けられる。
