[Died] July 6, 2003, London British female poet. Former wife of poet C. Madge. Majored in biology at Cambridge University. Influenced by Donne and Blake, she wrote meditative poems on the themes of love and faith since her first collection of poems, Stone and Flower (1943). Her works include Living in Time (1946), The Pythoness and Other Poems (1949), and The Lost Country (1971), as well as the critique Blake and Traditional Myth (1963).
