Gionune No. 1 and No. 2 Tombs - Gionune Ichigonigoufun

...The general term for a group of ancient tombs built on the summit, slopes, and foothills of the Sara River basin, bounded by the southwest of Tsuyama City, Okayama Prefecture, Mt. Kannabi, Mt. Sasa, and Mt. Takahachi to the east, and Mt. Saga and Mt. Ohira to the west. In 1951, four of these (Nakamiya 1, Kadonoyama 1, Gionune 1 and 2) were excavated, and a comprehensive distribution survey was conducted. The group of tombs consists of about 15 small groups and scattered tombs, totaling 178 tombs.
