Remission

Japanese:
Remission

A state in which some or all of the symptoms and signs of a disease have improved, or have seemingly disappeared and normal function has returned. It is also written as remission. A state in which a disease has been completely cured is called a cure (complete recovery), but remission is often used to express the effectiveness of treatment for diseases such as cancer, where the possibility of recurrence of the lesion cannot be denied. A state in which some of the symptoms and signs have improved or disappeared is called partial remission, and a state in which all symptoms and signs specific to the disease have improved or disappeared through treatment, no abnormalities are found in test findings, and normal function has returned is called complete remission.
